Research of Algorithms for Line Distance and Admittance Protection Based on SPM

The efficiency of protection algorithms depends on a set of parameters that are directly or indirectly estimated using the measured signal (current, voltage). These parameters include equivalent parameters of the electrical network and equivalent parameters of the protected object. The possibility of estimation and comparison of these parameters simultaneously, their combination to form additional criteria of fault recognition allows to improve protection algorithms. One of the promising directions for solving this problem is synchronized phasor measurement technology (SPM) [1]–[3].

Abstract

The efficiency of protection algorithms depends on a set of parameters that are directly or indirectly estimated using the measured signal (current, voltage). These parameters include equivalent parameters of the electrical network and equivalent parameters of the protected object. The possibility of estimation and comparison of these parameters simultaneously, their combination to form additional criteria of fault recognition allows to improve protection algorithms. One of the promising directions for solving this problem is synchronized phasor measurement technology (SPM) [1]–[3].
