Optimization of the Maintenance and Repair Plan for Power Grid Equipment Using A Risk-Oriented Approach and Efficiency Indicators
Currently, the energy sector is transitioning from a system of preventive maintenance to performing technical maintenance and repairs (TM&R) based on the actual condition of equipment, including the use of a risk-oriented approach (ROA). This shift from preventive maintenance to condition-based maintenance in the energy sector is largely a necessity. An increase in equipment wear, averaging 65% across the industry, combined with a decrease in investment levels, has led to an underperformance of maintenance activities on critical equipment essential for the reliable operation of power facilities.
