A Low-Light Imaging and Target Detection System Based on EBAPS
Electron bombarded active pixel sensor (EBAPS), as a new type of digital low-light-level imaging device, can output clear images under both day and night conditions. Compared with visible light imaging and infrared imaging, its imaging system has other advantages such as miniaturization, low cost, and low power consumption, so which has become a research hotspot in the imaging field. Based on a Chinese domestic EBAPS low-light-level device, a fully low power design concept is adopted and RV1126 is selected as the core processor. Development of EBAPS device driving circuit, image processing and tracking circuit, and display circuit was completed. Meanwhile, an optical system that can be used day and night was constructed, and a miniaturized handheld imaging and target detection system was built. Experimental results show that the EBAPS day-night imaging system can achieve excellent imaging and detection performance under the illuminance conditions ranging from $1 \times 10^{-4} \mathrm{~lx}$ to $1 \times 10^{4} \mathrm{~lx}$.
