Security Defense Mechanism of Internet of Things System Based on Fuzzy Fault-Tolerant Consensus
This paper proposes a fault-tolerant consensus protocol based on fuzzy logic to enhance the security and consistency of Internet of Things (IoT) systems under cyber attacks. We begin by analyzing the security challenges facing IoT systems, particularly the impact of induced attacks, leading to the formulation of effective solutions. Through system modeling, we define the IoT system architecture and potential threat models, laying the groundwork for protocol design. The protocol utilizes fuzzy logic to handle uncertainty and imprecise data, enabling dynamic consensus threshold adjustment and a local consensus mechanism to ensure global consensus even when some device data is anomalous. This paper is conducted a simulation on the IoT system equipped with 50 devices to demonstrate the validity, which were randomly selected 10 devices for an attack. The results show that the system managed to maintain high trust levels among the majority of devices, ensuring the reliability of network operations under normal and abnormal conditions.
