Brain Tumor Detection and Classification Using Deep Learning on MRI Images

One's life is very much precious and Brain tumors are a critical concern to the life of a person. If they are not identified on time, they can take life an individual. So, it becomes important to identify them as soon as possible. If identified in time, this can be the point of difference between a life and death of an individual. If found early, we will be able to treat them accordingly. In order to have much clearer pictures of tumors that we will be working on, we will operate with a dataset comprising MRI images of the human brain. The dataset includes both tumor and non-tumor MRI pictures, realizing the wide-ranging review of anomalies that occur in the brain. The model used here is Visual Geometry Group (VGG-16). When the model detects a tumor, then it becomes important to classify it. After testing, the brain tumors are classified into three different types, including glioma, meningioma, and pituitary tumors. Different classes of the tumors are useful for making treatment plans and ensembling the need of each patient.

After testing, the brain tumors are classified into three different types, including glioma, meningioma, and pituitary tumors. Different classes of the tumors are useful for making treatment plans and ensembling the need of each patient.
