Dual-Axis Solar Powered Peltier Based Cooling System for Batteries
The use of solar-powered devices, particularly battery packs for energy storage, has grown due to the rapid development of renewable energy technology. However, thermal management is a significant challenge to preserve the longevity and efficiency of modern battery packs. Overheating can significantly shorten battery life, hinder performance, and pose safety risks. This study investigates the best way to regulate temperature in a solar-powered battery pack using an efficient cooling system. The system includes passive and active cooling techniques, heat sinks, cooling fans, and phase change materials (PCMs). Low-power electrical parts and solar energy work together to ensure sustainability and energy efficiency. Computational thermal models were used to simulate and forecast temperature behavior during cycles of charge and discharge. This paper provides a comprehensive technique to design a Peltier based cooling system for batteries. The proposed work balance thermal control and energy efficiency, offering practical implications for sustainable energy storage technologies in solar power systems.
