Selection of the Best Student in the Islamic Boarding School Using Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) Method
Islamic Boarding School is an educational institution that offers universal courses and Islamic religious education programs, such as memorization of Al-Quran, Arabic language, etc. This research aims to objectively select and determine the best students in the Islamic boarding school. In contrast, the assessment for selecting the best students is processed manually for all the students in the school. The method used in this research is Weight Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS), which is a combination of the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) and Weighted Product Model (WPM) to process the criteria and sub-criteria of student assessment. The system is developed on a web platform and uses Bahasa. The final selection results are compared to the manual results. The score is 90% for all persons included in the 20 top ranking and 68% score for the actual same persons and the order. The testing of the system also uses the System Usability Scale (SUS) method, which shows a value of 75.63 with a grade of C, an adjective rating of “good and an acceptable range of acceptable. Inaccuracy in names and order in calculations can influence the categorization process which uses ordinal and sensitive concepts to determine order.
