Autonomous Truck Platooning with Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication
Autonomous truck platooning in transportation industry benefit from fuel economy and reduced fossil fuel emissions. Platoon use cooperative vehicle-to-vehicle communications between truck leader and followers. Inertia navigation system and basic safety message communications enable safe platoon operation. Platoon autonomous control system ensure followers follow leader with safe intervehicle spacings and stay within the boundaries of high curvature lane.
