Localized Mobile Health Application: Fully Automated AI Diagnostic System – Bilingual Support for Sustainable Pakistan

The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has revolutionized various domains, including healthcare, by offering innovative solutions to bridge gaps in accessibility and affordability. Conducting comprehensive medical tests becomes financially burdensome amidst Pakistan's economic crisis, while language barriers further impede non-English speakers from obtaining essential health management information. This project presents the conceptualization and development of a ‘Bilingual Virtual Doctor,’ an AI-based mobile application designed to enhance healthcare accessibility and communication for users proficient in English and Urdu. The Bi-Lingual Virtual Doctor integrates three core components: a chatbot interface, an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) system, and an intelligent diagnostic engine. The chatbot interface facilitates seamless communication between users and the virtual doctor, enabling them to describe their symptoms and receive medical advice in their preferred language. The OCR system allows users to upload images of medical reports or prescriptions, which are then processed to extract relevant information for analysis by the virtual doctor. The goal is to make it easier for people from different backgrounds to access healthcare information and improve their health without needing many tests.
