Measurements and Channel Characterization in Indoor Environments in the Upper Mid-Band
This letter presents a preliminary analysis of the indoor propagation channel in the upper mid-band. Extensive narrowband measurements between 7 and 17 GHz have been carried out in corridors, offices and laboratory locations. According to the results, the Close-In with Frequency dependence (CIF) and Alpha-Beta-Gamma (ABG) multi-frequency empirical models are suitable to forecast path loss in line-of-sight (LOS) and non-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenarios, respectively. It is also found that K-factor reduces gradually with frequency. The spatial consistency of the shadow fading is modeled using an exponentially decaying sinusoid function, exhibiting a faster channel decoherence in NLOS conditions.
