High Frequency Channel Optimization Based on Institute of Telecommunication Science Model
The high frequency ionospheric channel has the characteristics of multipath effect, fading, Doppler frequency shift and Doppler broadening. The characteristics of the ionosphere vary with time and position, which has a great influence on the shortwave signal transmitted through the ionosphere. The ITS model is a classical model based on the measured data to describe the shortwave channel. It is not only suitable for narrowband signals but also for broadband signals. Its accuracy is higher than the general channel model, but its implementation requires a large number of measured parameters. The curve of the power delay spectrum function in the ITS model is close to the Nakagami function curve under certain parameters. Therefore, by studying the Nakagami function, the ITS simulated power delay profile function under the minimum error can be simulated to optimize the ITS model.
