Tuberculosis of the wrist- I Wasn't in good hands
We present a case of Mycobacterium tuberculosis of the wrist in a physician initially diagnosed with seronegative arthritis. Only after 2 years of symptoms and presentation to a large academic medical center was surgical debridement performed, allowing for adequate tissue specimens to be sent for pathologic examination and culture. This case highlights the importance of maintaining a high clinical suspicion for this infection.
