Performance Analysis of P&O MPPT Technique for PV Panel and Array Integration with Boost Converter: An Analytical and MATLAB Simulation Approach

The energy radiated from sun is one of the best nonconventional resources as it produces clean energy to generate electricity. PV panels are utilized to convert energy radiated from the sun is converted in to the electrical energy. The proposed paper suggests the mathematical modelling of solar panel and. This mathematical modeling is implemented in MATLAB simulation. This mathematical modeling is simulated under different to get standard test condition of the panel. The environmental conditions are changes continuously, so working points shift from the point of MPP to the other location on the PV curve. In order to extract maximum power, it is necessary to design a controller. This paper shows the implementation of the Perturb and Observe (P&O) algorithm to trace MPP. In a simulation model of MPPT change in irradiation is considered and temperature remains unchanged.
