Research and Implementation of MPLC-IoT in Individual Lamp Monitoring for Navigation Lights
Based on the current application status of the single-light monitoring system for airport navigation lights, this paper analyzes the reasons for the low stability and reliability of the existing power line carrier communication methods, starting from the composition of the power supply circuit of the navigation lights. By establishing a mathematical model based on transmission line theory and actual electrical parameters of the lines, a coupling circuit is designed to communicate through the primary cable and shielding layer of the navigation lights, bypassing the isolation transformer. Software simulations are used to verify the rationality of the circuit parameter design. By using MPLC-IoT communication technology for rapid networking, the system can detect the status of single airport navigation lights, analyze faults, control the brightness, and perform other functions. Through amplification testing, analysis, and verification on the actual lighting circuit of a certain airport in South China, ideal results have been achieved, providing new methods and approaches for future upgrading and reconstruction of airport systems as well as the development of advanced airport surface movement guidance and control systems.
