Radiation Pattern of a VLF Multi-Fed Linear Antenna in an Anisotropic Magnetoplasma
In this paper, the radiation pattern of a very low frequency (VLF) multi-feed linear antenna in a magnetoplasma exhibiting anisotropy is determined and discussed with the help of the semi-analytical method. By taking account of the complex anisotropic property of the surrounding medium, the closed-form solution of the radiation field induced by the antenna is given first. By solving the integrals contained in the expression, the field distributions in both the near and far zones are shown and analyzed. The theoretical findings presented in this work could contribute to optimizing the performance of realistic VLF satellite-based radiation systems.
