The Influence of Social Adaptability Skills and Social Environment on Students Towards AIEd and the Learning Environment Both Directly and Indirectly

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology into various sectors of life, including education, has occurred rapidly. This study examines the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the ability of students in Indonesia to adapt socially and on the social context in which they interact. Although AI provides customized and effective learning experiences, there are apprehensions over its capacity to impede substantial learning and interpersonal exchanges. This study utilizes quantitative methodology by conducting a survey of 622 students who make use of artificial intelligence in their educational pursuits. The results of the study explain that the Social Adaptation (SA) and Social Environment (SE) factors have a significant effect on the Learning Environment (LE) indirectly positively influenced and mediated by the Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIEd) factor. The results suggest that AI has a substantial influence on students' ability to adjust socially and their overall learning experiences. Moreover, the social context plays a pivotal role in regulating the impact of AI on educational achievements. The study emphasizes the importance of incorporating AI into education in a way that both improves learning outcomes and takes into account important social and ethical factors.
