Approach To A Proposal For the Endogenous Management of Monetary Productive Surplus in Rural Families and Women

Objective: The objective of this study is to investigate, through conscious financial education, a strategy for the efficient and sustainable management of monetary surpluses generated from the production and marketing of rural families and women. This strategy is based on Colombia, and particularly the Province of Sumapaz, as a source of prior analysis. The research originates from a project based on the diagnosis and intervention of rural women in Colombia and Bolivia. Its purpose is to contribute, at the end of the field exercise, to a modeling of a value ecosystem for the empowerment of rural women. In the case analyzed, these women have been approached from their core core: the family. Theoretical Framework: This topic presents the main concepts and theories that support the research. [1) Women's participatory constructs in rural development; 2) The gender perspective in agri-food systems; 3) Endogenous and local development; and 4) Organizational culture in rural families] are highlighted, providing a solid foundation for understanding the research context. Method: The methodology adopted for this research comprises an exploratory study, with a qualitative-propositional approach, proposing a strategy seeking to meet a need to complement the traditional knowledge of the rural population. The support resources for the construction are based on a dialogic foundation with the results of research and, on the other hand, with the communities, through the execution of various projects, particularly the financial education project for rural women in the provinces of Sumapaz and Vaca Díez in Bolivia, whose objective is to contribute to empowerment and decision-making and negotiation skills. Therefore, the study gathers diverse inputs that have directly or indirectly led to a rethinking of value management strategies based on the use of monetary surpluses from family production, where women have a relative decision-making role.
