Preparation of a Holographic Cylindrical Lens for Focusing Parallel Light onto a Sensor

This study presents the design of a holographic cylindrical lens for focusing parallel light onto a sensor, emphasizing its manufacturing process, analysis, and performance enhancements. The cylindrical lens is capable of focusing a laser beam into a linear light spot, which can be utilized for sensor imaging or detection. The results indicate that the fabricated holographic cylindrical lens fulfills the fundamental functions of a cylindrical lens while achieving a short focal length and long line effect at the same dimensions. Compared to conventional cylindrical lenses made of glass, holographic optical elements are lightweight, capable of achieving nanometer-level precision, easy to fabricate, customizable to specific application requirements, and suitable for mass production.
