MODERN VIEWS ON THE PHYSIOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL MECHANISMS OF PANIC DISORDERS
REVIEWSOCD, also known as obsessive-compulsive neurosis, is traditionally defined as a psychogenically caused anxiety state, the clinical content of which is made up of involuntarily arising thoughts and actions, to which patients are critical and unsuccessfully struggle with them. The incidence of OCD is about 1.5% in the general population, and the prevalence of anxiety-phobic disorders reaches 5% in the population, which makes the issue of their study significant and relevant. The problem of studying various aspects of the pathogenesis of OCD is far from being solved.Various studies have examined the relationship between the etiopathogenesis of OCD and the personality traits of patients, comorbid affective-anxiety spectrum disorders, and genetic and biochemical factors. However, a single model of the etiopathogenesis of OCD has not yet been created.
