Control System Design for Doubly Fed Wind Turbine Based on Back-to-Back AC-DC-AC Converter Topology
This article examined the initial wind power operation control of a doubly-fed wind power generation system's functional requirements and operational reliability. The machine-side and grid-side converters adopt a back-to-back structure regarding the microgrid parallel operation control. The comparatively efficient control scheme is chosen for both the network-side and rotor-side converters, and dual PWM control is implemented. The stator voltage orientation is used to construct the model on the grid side, and the stator flux orientation is used to build the model. Finally, the simulation model is built on the MATLAB software platform to verify the two-way flow of power of the converter in super-synchronous and sub-synchronous conditions. The proposed control strategy can effectively suppress the fluctuation of DC bus voltage and improve the safety and stability of the system.
