Development of resource-saving fluxcored wires for arc metallization of wear-resistant coatings

Based on an analysis of literary sources and the results of studies of the influence of atmospheric oxygen on droplets of molten electrode metal during arc metallization, compositions of flux-cored wires with a charge containing non-deficient materials have been developed, providing increased wear resistance of the coating and the strength of its adhesion to the base due to the production of solid oxides through the interaction of components of the powder charge wires with oxygen in a spray jet. The composition of coatings obtained with different contents of alloying components in the charge is presented. Based on the analysis of the data obtained, the basic composition of the flux-cored wire charge is presented, as well as the results of tests of coatings for adhesive strength, which amounted to 52...55 MPa. The chemical composition of the studied coatings provides high performance properties.
