A MULTILAYER ORGAN-ON-A-CHIP FOR GENERATING CENTIMETER-SCALE MICROVASCULAR NETWORKS
Culturing functional microvascular networks in vitro bears paramount importance for tissue engineering [1].However, current microvascular-on-chip devices typically position the fluid channels and tissue chambers within the same layer, with relatively small tissue chambers (not exceeding 1mm 3 ), which also limited the directions and types of fluid stimulation [2].As the size of tissue in vitro increases, the functionalities and characteristics they present grow more complex, hence larger-scale microvasculature is required.
