Supercritical Once-Through Boiler Modeling via Heat Current Method and Its Application in Primary Frequency Regulation
With the increasing integration of renewable energy, the demand for frequency regulation has become more pronounced. Coal-fired power plants, long considered the ballast of the modern power system, are now tasked with assuming a significant portion of regulation responsibilities. Nevertheless, current models tend to concentrate on the turbines, often neglecting the nonlinear dynamics associated with boilers and the influence of boiler heat storage on the regulation capacity of power units. Utilizing the heat current method, this study develops a dynamic model for the boiler of thermal power units and incorporates it into the frequency regulation framework. The result indicates that the proposed model achieves a 62.7% reduction in average simulation error under the scenario of prolonged and high-capacity power deficiencies of the power grid.
