Research on active equalization technology and simulation of battery modules

The principles and current situation of the active balancing technology between modules in the Battery Management System (BMS) of the energy storage power station is researched in this article. A typical solution for Matlab/Simulink simulation is used to verify and evaluate advantages and disadvantages of inter-module active balancing strategy. Through the simulation, the best inter-module balancing solution is determined, and the size of the balancing current is established.
