Application and Challenge of Big Data in Decision-Making of Engineering Project Management

Social and economic development has entered a new era of data. With the development of emerging technologies such as the Internet and the Internet of Things, human society is producing massive data at all times. Big data has the characteristics of large volumes and many types, and the knowledge extracted from big data can provide a strong information basis for scientific decision-making and improve the effectiveness of decision-making. However, the complexity, heterogeneity, and low value density of big data pose challenges to the decision-making process. How to use big data efficiently and dig into the information behind it to improve the quality of decision-making is the key problem to be solved. Based on the concept and characteristics of big data, this paper will comprehensively discuss the application status and challenges of big data technology in engineering project decision-making.
