Analyzing Influencing Factors for Low-Carbon Development of Commercial Buildings Using DEMATEL-ISM
The carbon emissions intensity of commercial buildings is 2.09 times higher than that of residential buildings. While existing research has extensively covered the low-carbon development of residential buildings, the influencing factors of low-carbon development in commercial buildings and the interrelationships among these factors remain less understood. This paper unveils 20 factors influencing the low-carbon technology innovation of commercial buildings across four dimensions concerning policy, economy, technology, and society. It further constructs a multi-level hierarchy of these influencing factors by DEMATEL-ISM method, identifying the bottleneck factors. The findings offer valuable insights into the low-carbon advancement of commercial buildings and assist governments in crafting effective strategies to promote decarbonization.
