Research on Design Strategies for Rural Cultural Museums’ Transformation under the Concept of Ecological Sustainability

With the deepening of the concept of sustainable development, how to achieve environmental sustainability while protecting the original rural architectural culture has become a major challenge in the current design field. In the context of urbanization in China, the “New Rural” housing construction movement, with “demolition and reconstruction” as the mainstream, has caused damage to traditional rural architecture and residential culture, as well as waste of resources. Therefore, this article aims to inject the concept of ecological sustainable design into the renovation project of rural cultural museums, providing new ideas and methods for the protection of rural architectural cultural heritage and the activation of ecological sustainable development of rural cultural museums. This study proposes a series of promotion strategies and suggestions for the ecological sustainable transformation design of rural cultural museums, which has profound significance for achieving future sustainable rural design.
