Evaluation of Competence of EPC Project Management Team Based on the Matter-Element Extensible Model

Due to the higher requirements of EPC projects for management teams, this study explored the evaluation of competency for EPC project teams based on the theory of competence. Through literature review, a set of evaluation indicators for the competency of EPC project management teams was constructed, consisting of 4 primary indicators and 14 secondary indicators. The weights of each indicator were determined using the G1 method. A competency evaluation model for EPC project management teams was built by using Walsh’s extensible measurement theory. Finally, a case study of an EPC project from a construction company was used to demonstrate the scientific effectiveness of the model, and corresponding recommendations were proposed based on the data results.

Abstract

Through literature review, a set of evaluation indicators for the competency of EPC project management teams was constructed, consisting of 4 primary indicators and 14 secondary indicators. The weights of each indicator were determined using the G1 method. A competency evaluation model for EPC project management teams was built by using Walsh’s extensible measurement theory. Finally, a case study of an EPC project from a construction company was used to demonstrate the scientific effectiveness of the model, and corresponding recommendations were proposed based on the data results.
