Research on Performance Evaluation of Airport Based on DEA
Modern airports are important infrastructure in cities. Performance evaluation is beneficial to leading in the construction direction for airports and finding problems. The paper selects six indicators from input and output; the method of DEA is used to evaluate the performance of 37 airports in China from 2020 to 2023. The result shows that 8 airports were valid and the other 29 airports were invalid in 2020, 7 airports were valid and the other 30 were invalid in 2023. It was found that some new airports and 4F airports had low performance and some 4E airports had high performance. Construction airports should pay equal attention to advanced technology, scientific management, and performance. Then, it is deeply studied for the key factors that affect airport performance. This paper suggests scientifically planning the number and size of airports in the same region, building smart airports to improve their performance, taking each characteristic advantage to attract tourists from all over the world, and adding the number of flights.
