LE TEXTE THÉÂTRAL SUPPORT POUR LE DÉVELOPPEMENT DES COMPÉTENCES LITTÉRACIQUES CHEZ LES APPRENANTS UNIVERSITAIRES DU FLE

In our schools (in schools in Algeria), drama is frequently taught as ordinary literary work for various reasons. As a mere fragment of the curriculum, it is often underexplored. However, through their theatricality, these texts act as an "engine" that brings characters and objects to life on stage and can also play a key role in enhancing learners' literacy skills. In this paper, we present an analysis of a scene from Les co-épouses, written by the Algerian author Fatima Gallaire, conducted with a group of university students studying French as a Foreign Language (FLE). This socio-constructivist study (inductive), grounded in competency-based approaches, seeks to demonstrate how drama is a powerful tool for fostering learners' literacy.
