ANALYSIS OF THE RESULTS OF A SURVEY OF MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS ON THE TREATMENT OF SLEEP DISORDERS

According to the latest statistics, in Russia, the mortality rate from diseases of the nervous system, which include sleep disorders, increased 5.8 times in 2023 compared to 2012 [2]. At the same time, there is an acute shortage of somnologists and specialized centers [1]. All this makes it relevant to raise awareness about the treatment of these disorders among doctors of related specialties. The purpose of the study was to conduct a survey of doctors to assess the effectiveness and frequency of prescribing medicines used for various sleep disorders in their practice. The materials for the study were a questionnaire developed by us using the platform – https://www.google.ru/intl/ru/forms/about / and Microsoft Office Excel 2016 spreadsheets for statistical data processing. The following methods were used: descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, grouping of statistical observation materials. According to the results of the study, it was found that patients with complaints of sleep disorders often seek medical help from neurologists, somnologists and doctors of related specialties. The leading drugs in terms of effectiveness are: bromodihydrochlorophenylbenzodiazepine, doxylamine, zaleplon, zolpidem, zopiclone, melatonin. The leaders in prescribability are: doxylamine, zaleplon, zolpidem, zopiclone, bromodihydrochlorophenylbenzodiazepine, oxazepam, medazepam, lorazepam, melatonin. 25.6% of the surveyed specialists are not satisfied with the information about medicines for the treatment of sleep disorders, while the majority (82.4%) consider it advisable for pharmaceutical specialists to inform medical personnel about the treatment of these disorders. All of the above indicate the presence of problems in the treatment of sleep disorders and the need to expand and deepen the information base on the treatment of these disorders, which is facilitated by the provision of consulting and information services by pharmaceutical specialists.
