Voltage Vector Compensation Based Power Decoupling Control Method for Grid-forming Inverter
The power system has a increasingly higher proportion of renewable energy and power electronic converters, resulting in deficit of inertia support. Grid-forming inverters can actively participate in the primary frequency regulation of the power system and provide inertial support. However, localized power network with large amounts of renewable energy sources usually has power lines not dominantly inductive, leading to significant power coupling in grid-forming inverters. To address the issue, this paper proposes a power decoupling control method based on voltage vector compensation. The proposed method realizes the decoupling control of grid-forming inverter output power by introducing voltage vector compensation to the output voltage command of the power control loop. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation.
