ELECTROOSMOTICALLY DRIVEN HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS OF MICROPOLAR FLUID IN TAPERED CHANNEL THROUGH MODIFIED DARCY POROSITY
The current study provides an investigation of electroosmotic peristaltic mechanism and heat transfer of micropolar (non-Newtonian) fluid in a porous tapered duct, using modified Darcy's law to account for the porosity effects. An analytical approach is employed to solve the governing equations under approximations suitable for low Reynolds number, Debye-Huckel linearization, and long wavelength. The model is formulated to address continuity, momentum, and heat equations by integrating the micropolar model equation, the Poisson equation, Darcy resistance, and Gauss’s law. The results indicate that nonuniformity and heat source parameters have a positive influence on the axial velocity, with the Darcy number significantly affecting porosity. Under electroosmotic effects, the study reveals improved temperature distribution and volumetric flow rate, indicating improved control over fluid dynamics in porous channels. With its practical implications for applications in industrial and biomedical contexts, this study advances our understanding of electroosmotic peristaltic flow dynamics through porous media.
