MODERN PROBLEMS OF SCHOOL MEDICINE

The health indicators of schoolchildren are socially determined and depend on many factors: the state of the environment, the health of parents, heredity, living conditions, and the upbringing of a child in a family and school. It is necessary to understand that in recent decades these factors have undergone significant changes due to new life trends. The child spends most of his time within the walls of an educational institution, so it is necessary to systematically monitor changes in the physical condition of children during their growth and development. The physical development of children is one of the main criteria for the health status of the child population, reflecting the influence of endogenous and exogenous factors. Data on the physical development of children make it possible to form risk groups in a timely manner that require a differentiated approach to the implementation of therapeutic and recreational activities in educational institutions. We conducted an assessment on centile scales and an index assessment of the physical development of children aged 7 to 17 years based on anthropometric data in 7 ways: Quetelet 2, Pinier, Verweka, etc. Height was measured using a height meter, weight was measured with medical scales, and circumference was measured with a centimeter tape. Statistical data processing was performed taking into account the student’s reliability criterion (P) (P<0.05-0.01). The results presented an analysis of the informative value of the selected methods for assessing the physical development of children and adolescents, and concluded that in order to optimize preventive examinations of children, it is necessary to use a modern regulatory framework, in particular, there is a need for updating (at least once every 5-10 years) standards of physical development of children, based on the most informative anthropometric data, the development of regional standards of physical development reflecting the diversity of the ethnic composition of the population, differences in climate and geography- physical, socio-economic living conditions, lifestyle and lifestyle features

The health indicators of schoolchildren are socially determined and depend on many factors: the state of the environment, the health of parents, heredity, living conditions, and the upbringing of a child in a family and school. It is necessary to understand that in recent decades these factors have undergone significant changes due to new life trends.
