THE PROGNOSTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT IN ADOLESCENTS
Children's health is a central issue in the development of society. Meanwhile, a lot of data is accumulating on the deterioration of demographic indicators, an increase in chronic diseases, starting from childhood in our country as a whole and in its individual regions. Over the past decades, the Department of Hospital Pediatrics has been involved in preventive examinations of children from educational institutions. Unfortunately, there are negative trends in the dynamics of students' health. The proportion of truly healthy children is decreasing every year. Disharmonious physical development is more often revealed due to the predominance of overweight. Chronic pathology increases dangerously with the age of the child: lesions of the nervous system, sensory organs, digestion, urinary and cardiovascular systems. In many children, morphofunctional abnormalities are characterized by polymorphism, expressed by a variety of the number and combination of diseases. The health status of adolescent boys and young men is important, as it determines the socio-economic and defense potential of society. The incidence rate among adolescent boys reflects the same trends as the incidence rate of adolescents in general and is steadily increasing. Functional abnormalities occupy one of the first places among adolescent health disorders. Also, the indicators of physical fitness and working capacity have decreased dynamically among modern adolescent boys, so about half of high school boys cannot meet the standards of physical fitness. The prevalence of nutritional deficiencies is also high. For example, among young men graduating from high school, body weight deficiency is detected in 25% of cases, malnutrition is detected in 35.3% of conscripts according to the results of a medical examination.
