"SKIN-INTERFACED, SOFT, RELIABLE PULSE SENSOR FOR CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE DIAGNOSTICS ENABLED BY MACHINE LEARNING"
Different from traditional rigid devices for Cardiovascular disease (CVD) monitoring or diagnostics, wearable, flexible pulse sensors have gained significant attention as a promising technology that provides precise and realtime pulse monitoring in a biocompatible and high-comfort manner [1].Although kinds of flexible pulse sensor have been developed to improve the pulse pressure waveform collection, reliable monitoring of pulse waves and assessment with real CVD patients are still two main challenges for cardiovascular intelligent healthcare [2].Here, we developed a skin-interfaced and reliable pulse sensor, termed as FlexiPulse for intelligent diagnostics of real CVD events, as shown in Figure 1.The ultrathin FlexiPulse employed laser-induced-graphene (LIG) as strain sensing materials for skin strain detection induced by pulsatile blood flow. What's more, mimicking traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), machine learning algorithms were developed to classify different CVD events.
