INTEGRATED SAMPLE TREATMENT AND LAMP ASSAY ON A MICROFLUIDIC CHIP FOR RAPID ON SITE BACTERIA DETECTION IN SEAWATER
Monitoring microbial pathogen presence in water is crucial for health protection (drinking, bathing, aquaculture) and would ideally require rapid detection.Culture-based methods are widely used but require trained personal and take 18-72 h.However, bacteria levels changes occur much more rapidly in nature [1].Despite new promising systems incorporating miniaturized isothermal amplification to offer on-site detection, few address complex matrices such as seawater which require a sample pretreatment.
