AN ELECTRONIC-FREE DEVICE FOR THE TARGETED SAMPLING OF MICROBIOTA WITHIN THE GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT

We have developed an ingestible electronic-free targeted sampling (TS) capsule for the mapping of gut bacteria. We have demonstrated the successful sampling and sealing of the capsules using a hydrogelbased mechanism to ensure the preservation of the sample throughout the gastrointestinal (GI) tract.
