AIOT-ENHANCED GLOBAL ANTIMICROBIAL RESISTANCE AUTOMATED SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM USING MULTIPLEX MICROFLUIDIC TECHNIQUE
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is identified by the WHO as one of the top three global health threats, characterized by decreasing effectiveness of existing antibiotics and shortage of new antibiotic development.A surveillance system is the key to tracking AMR spread and providing a comprehensive view of AMR trends from farm to fork. However, the current system relies on traditional antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST) [1], which has limited availability, especially in resource-constrained areas. These systems require skilled labor, substantial fiscal resources, and are time-consuming, which makes it economically and operationally unfeasible to conduct largescale sampling tests on daily food samples and synchronize data instantly.
