MICROFLUIDIC DEVICE PROCESSING AND PRODUCTION IN THERMOPLASTIC AND GLASS FOR ALL

While PDMS (Polydimethylsiloxane), the most used material, has remarkable properties [1,2], it cannot be easily processed to produce large quantities with constant quality [3].The main issue in microfluidic device fabrication lies in the labor-intensive and time-consuming nature of the process.Other materials like thermoplastics and glass offer superior physicochemical properties, but they present their own challenges when it comes to micro structuring and sealing. The IPGG technological platform supports and develops microfabrication and microfluidics for the academic and industrial community focusing on three major axes: working with new materials, standardizing processes, and easing the access towards series production for all.
