STUDY ON MEASURING URINE-DERIVED GASES FOR DETECTING ADULT DIEASES USING NDIR SENSOR
This study aims to discover biomarkers in urine for the early diagnosis and management of adult diseases and to develop a small, MEMS-based portable external measuring device for measuring these biomarkers. The development of this system requires various research elements. This paper primarily discusses the design and fabrication methods of the optical channel for gas collection and measurement, as well as the experimental results. The collected urine is processed within the fabricated MEMS Channel, where the gas-phase biomarkers generated are introduced into the optical channel and measured using the NDIR method, as shown is figure 1.The biomarkers associated with adult diseases include ethanol, fluorine, methane, benzene, and others. These gases absorb at different mid-infrared wavelengths.
