A NOVEL MULTI-ELECTRODE MICROPROBE ARRAY WITH DISSOLVING PROBE BODY

This paper reports a novel microprobe array, which maintains rigid during implantation and becomes flexible after implantation.Originally, the flexible filament array with multiple electrode sites was attached with a thin, dissolving probe array which can penetrate the brain and dissolve in a short time. This microprobe array can realize easier implantation, less implant damage, more precise location and lower cost.

Abstract

This paper reports a novel microprobe array, which maintains rigid during implantation and becomes flexible after implantation.Originally, the flexible filament array with multiple electrode sites was attached with a thin, dissolving probe array which can penetrate the brain and dissolve in a short time. This microprobe array can realize easier implantation, less implant damage, more precise location and lower cost.
