BOOSTING ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY WITH MICROFLUIDICS: INTRODUCING LAMINAR FLOW SPECTROELECTROCHEMISTRY

In this work we merge recent advances in microfabrication with fluid physics at the microscale to demonstrate laminar flow spectroelectrochemistry (LF-SEC) improves sensitivity and versatility over an already powerful technique. We demonstrate LF-SEC to monitor a multi-redox solution of a redox system with therapeutic relevance, which switches between reaction pathways depending on the reaction rate.

Abstract

In this work we merge recent advances in microfabrication with fluid physics at the microscale to demonstrate laminar flow spectroelectrochemistry (LF-SEC) improves sensitivity and versatility over an already powerful technique. We demonstrate LF-SEC to monitor a multi-redox solution of a redox system with therapeutic relevance, which switches between reaction pathways depending on the reaction rate.
