DEVELOPMENT OF A MICRO-FABRICATED FILTER BASED CIRCULATING FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR MEASURING DEPLETION KINETICS OF CIRCULATING TUMOR CELLS (CTCS)
This paper presents a micro-fabricated filter based circulating filtration system and a newly proposed model for measuring depletion kinetics of CTCs, which could reveal the mechanisms of cancer metastasis from the dimension of CTCs [1].The circulating filtration system was reported at MircroTAS '22, which was used for depletion of injected tumor cells from rats preliminarily [2].Our method differs from that of centrifugation [3] in obtaining longterm and quantitative results, and of microfluidic counterparts (e.g., in vivo flow cytometry, fluorescent or antigenbased platforms) [4] in stronger detectability and more types of cancer.Furthermore, the depletion coefficients by blockage, and immunization and blood flowing are first distinguished leveraging the model.
