A PASSIVE FLOW MICROREACTOR FOR URINE CREATININE TEST
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) significantly affects people's health and life quality and presents a high economic burden worldwide [1].However, the existing diagnostic test methods remain complicated and cost prohibitive. In this study, we developed a passive flow microreactor for colorimetric measurement of urine creatinine (uCR-Chip), which is an important CKD biomarker. We show that the uCR-Chip meets the clinical detection range and sensitivity requirement.Furthermore, the uCR-Chip was validated using creatinine standard spiked in artificial urine and the results showed acceptable recovery rate. The developed uCR-Chip offers a useful point-of-care (PoC) test for CKD assessment and provides a potential platform technology to measure various disease biomarkers.
