MINIATURIZED AND PORTABLE MULTIPLEX SENSING PLATFORM FOR MONITORING OF PREDICTIVE BIOMARKERS IN VASCULARIZED COMPOSITE ALLOTRANSPLANTATION
Organ transplantation provides critical tissue reconstruction for organ failure, but it can trigger an inflammatory response in recipients [1,2].Monitoring interleukins, lactate, and pH is crucial for assessing transplant success and identifying complications like organ rejection [3,4].Biopsy-based rejection confirmation is suboptimal due to risks, necessitating the need for non-invasive early detection of immunological changes [5].Miniaturized sensors for biomarker detection face reliability challenges, particularly with limited sample volumes [6].To address above, we propose a low-cost, portable, flexible, miniaturized, and site-of-care (SOC) platform for multiplex sensing of interleukin 6 (IL6), lactate, and pH.This innovation aims to revolutionize patient monitoring and improve outcomes by enabling early rejection detection.
