PERSONALIZED ASSESSMENT OF DIETARY NUTRITION AND LIFESTYLE OF PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS
The problem of the spread of diabetes mellitus among the population and the analysis of modern approaches to the treatment and prevention of this disease. It is an urgent task of medical science and practice. Based on statistical data from the World Diabetes Federation (IDF) and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the dynamics of a rapid increase in the number of patients with diabetes in different age groups and regions of the world, including in the Krasnodar Territory by 30% over the past 5 years, has been established, which necessitates constant monitoring of the epidemiological situation. Such a high rate of increase in the incidence of diabetes, which leads to serious medical and social consequences, such as early disability and increased mortality rates, indicates a personalized approach to the treatment and prevention of this disease. The measures taken by the state and healthcare to combat diabetes include the implementation of state and regional programs, for example, in the Krasnodar Territory - "Fight against diabetes." In a study conducted in September - November 2024 on the basis of the "City Polyclinic No.19 Krasnodar" Ministry of Health of the Krasnodar Territory, 45 patients attended the dispensary, who are under the supervision of an endocrinologist. The aim of the study was to assess the impact of dietary nutrition and lifestyle on the quality of life of patients with DM. Nutritional characteristics and factors affecting blood sugar levels, such as physical activity in patients, were assessed using a questionnaire. The received data was processed using the Microsoft Excel program. It was found that 27 patients (60%) have elevated blood glucose levels, while 18 patients (40%) have normal glucose levels (in the range of 3.3-6.0 mmol/L). Analyzing the parameters of physical activity and nutritional characteristics in patients with hyperglycemia, it was revealed that 6 patients (22%) have deviations only from physical activity, 4 patients (14.8%) have problems exclusively related to nutrition, and only 3 patients (11%) have deviations in both nutrition and the level of physical activity. The data obtained during the study indicate the importance of a personalized approach to nutrition and lifestyle of patients with diabetes, as well as the need to create convenient support tools such as ready-made food packages and information materials aimed at maintaining an optimal balance between the effectiveness of treatment and the quality of life of patients with diabetes.
