Konut poliçelerinin modellenmesi üzerine bir uygulama

In this study, the aim is to contribute to the awareness of individuals who wish to insure their homes and valuable assets within them regarding home insurance and to reveal the extent to which factors believed to affect home insurance premiums influence the price. For this purpose, 500 home policies from the Kütahya province were used, and the impact of variables such as building age, square footage, type of residence, and the floor on which the residence is located on the premium amount to be paid was investigated. SPSS 24 software was used for data analysis. Initially, descriptive statistics of the variables were presented, and the distributions of the variables were examined using graphical representations. Finally, a generalized linear model was established, and the findings were interpreted. Generalized linear models were utilized for data modelling, and the significance of the coefficients in the established model was examined using the Wald test statistic. According to the study's findings, the most influential variable on the home policy amount is square footage, which affects the price by a factor of 50.323, followed by the floor variable, which affects the price by a factor of 45.146. The building age was the variable with the least impact on the premium amount.
