‘That feels alien to me, to be honest’: using Applied Thematic Analysis to co-produce a culturally adapted psychosocial intervention with Sikh carers of people living with dementia
Participants advised that various aspects of Punjabi Sikh culture would be invaluable for intervention developers and facilitators to consider, including attitudes towards gender, religious principles and family dynamics. Further research should apply similar methods to further cultural adaptation of support for carers of people living with dementia from minoritised ethnic backgrounds.
