Research on the Green Innovation Driving Mechanisms and Performance Improvement Pathways of Recycling Companies under the Dual Carbon Goals

With the intensification of global climate change and increasing pressure on resources and the environment, China has proposed the “dual carbon goals” of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality. These goals present both significant opportunities and challenges for the recycling industry. Under the dual carbon goals, green innovation has emerged as a critical driving force for achieving high-quality development in the recycling sector. This paper analyzes the driving mechanisms of technological innovation, managerial innovation, and institutional innovation, exploring key pathways through which green innovation enhances corporate performance. Through theoretical analysis and empirical research, this study reveals the mechanisms by which green innovation impacts environmental, economic, and social performance. It also provides policy and strategic recommendations for both governments and enterprises, offering theoretical and practical guidance for the sustainable development of the recycling industry within the dual carbon context.
